MISSISSIPPI BOULEVARD CHRISTIAN CHURCH

Dear Fellow Servant,

“I saw the face of God and survived”

If you were in worship this past Sunday you know what this means. I value your presence, whether you were in the building or on the Internet; I appreciate your walking with me as I worked through that message. I want to commend the men for “holding it down” in a mighty way. Dr. Leo Davis always does an excellent job and I am continuously blessed to witness it.

Our worship service at the Midtown campus will be abbreviated beginning this Sunday, July 4. Don’t dress up! Come in your cook-out ready attire so that when you leave worship you are already dressed for relaxation. We recognize that it is a holiday and we will respect your desire to connect with family and friends. However because the devil doesn’t take holidays, we want to make sure you get the celebration started with the Word. Come out and help me kick off our summer series, “Seven Deadly Sins”. I can’t wait to share this liberating message with you.

If you haven’t heard, we are giving away a few “tools” to help your summer sizzle including some very nice barbecue grills at both locations. You must be present to win. Come early and we promise to get you out early.  If you are unable to attend Sunday you can watch our live stream online at www.theblvd.org. While you are there please remember to generously support the ministry with your tithes and offerings by clicking the “donate” button.

I am excited about Wednesdays in July because I am taking the opportunity to teach about and explore the life of John the Baptist. I love teaching and discovering truths as well as uncovering myths about the great leaders in the Bible. If you are ready to go on this journey with me come out next Wednesday and each Wednesday in July for “That’s Just My Cousin John”. In the words of the younger crowd, “It’s going to be hot”.

In closing today I want to send a special shout out to THE BLVD East as they begin their new Life Groups. If you are interested in joining the group, there will be a meeting following worship on July 11. I also want to congratulate all of the Boulevard Facebook Family (our BFFs) for reaching our 1000+ friends goal before July 4. The total number now is almost 1020. If you haven’t joined yet, check it out.

Remember to tune in to 15 Minutes of Faith Wednesdays at 6PM on 95.7. Remember to come out on Wednesday at 7PM for Mid-week Worship or watch our Live Stream online and don’t miss the opportunity to worship with us this week.

I look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
