Dear
Fellow Servant,
I
generally start this note with a line about being brief. You
know for preachers the word “brief” is subjective. However,
this week I will be brief. Thank you so much for proving that
God is not mindful of man’s Summer Slump nor of persons for
that matter. Your faithfulness by your attendance in worship
this past Sunday proves that God is able to do just what He
said He will do. In my absence, Pastor Sharkey did an
excellent job with WRATH and I could not have been more
pleased. This Sunday, I am back in the pulpit tackling GREED in the third
installment of our Seven Deadly Sins
series. I look forward to seeing all of you this Sunday at
either THE BLVD East
(8:30AM) or THE BLVD Midtown (10AM). Here is a tip: if you bring someone with
you, when I ask you to turn to your neighbor it can be a
neighbor you already know. In other words, bring someone
to worship with you Sunday. I have a feeling you know someone
who needs to receive a word on GREED. If it’s you, come and
get it and bring your support system. If it’s someone else you
know invite them and be their support system.
We
just completed the second message in our That’s Just My Cousin
John Wednesday Night Bible Study. I have to admit when we
opened it up to Q & A, I was not expecting such in depth
inquiries and to God be the glory. It is encouraging to know
that we have a congregation that hungers for knowledge. If
your question did not get answered this week we will get to it
next Wednesday. If you have a question regarding John the
Baptist please
submit it via
email and we
will be sure and give it our best human effort. If you can
make it, please come out next Wednesday night at
7PM. If you can’t make it, view it online at www.theblvd.org. This link is
good for Wednesday and Sunday morning worship at
10AM.
Finally
I want you to know that I am honored to be your pastor. I am
truly honored. Your support and your dedication to the
ministry mean the world to me. God loves you for it and so do
I.
God
bless you and I look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
