Note:
I visited your church this past Sunday and have never felt so welcomed in a church in my life. If I lived in Memphis I would join! Then on Monday I called your pastor on call for prayer (your youth minister). He was such a wonderful listener. He was like a laser pinpointing my issues (confidence and anxiety).
You see I came to visit the nursing school to talk with them about getting my doctorate. It has been along journey and I was scared to death and lacking confidence because I have been at home with our children and out of the work force for along time. During and after the prayer I felt the Lord and my burdens were lifted. I felt at ease when I visited the school and left inspired and encouraged. Thank you again for lifting me up. Many blessing to you all.
In Christ, Lisa

Rev. Dr. Frank Thomas was the featured speaker for LeMoyne Owen College's Annual Honors Convocation, Wednesday, April 13th. Pastor Thomas's message "God Bless the Child that Has His Own" touched the heart and minds of our students. Pastor Thomas's message not only reached the honorees, it also touched faculty, staff and the entire student body. In "God Bless the Child that Has His Own", Pastor Thomas expounded from the book of Mathew Chapter 25: 14-30, Jesus' parable about the talents, the wicked servant who hid his talent (money). Pastor Thomas started his message with lyrics from Billy Holiday's song "God Bless the Child." Pastor Thomas compared Jesus' parable to Holiday's lyrics: "Them that's got shall get, them that's not shall lose, so the Bible said and it still is news. Mama may have, Papa may have, but God bless the child that's got his own!" Pastor Thomas's prolific message encouraged our students to achieve high marks in school. Pastor Thomas's message also improved everyone's political and financial awareness. Pastor Thomas's testimony gave our young people a living example of someone who has defied odds and made a better life for himself. Pastor Thomas's message is still being complimented on days after his departure. It was an uplifting message from someone who is passionate about the success of those who come from meager beginnings. Thank you Pastor Thomas for your inspirational message "God Bless the Child that Has His Own".

Just wanted to express how much I enjoyed visiting The BLVD last Sunday during a brief visit to Memphis. As a Christian and musician, I can't tell you how much I was blessed by Dr. Thomas' preaching, the friendliness of the people, and (especially) the music. It was a worship experience I'll long remember. May God's continued blessing be on His servants at The BLVD!
